How do I register a school?
To add a school profile, or to claim a school profile that is already listed, you need to create an account or sign in to one you’ve already made. Click the ‘Login’ button on the top right of the screen and then click ‘Register’ to create an account.
Once you have an account, you can sign in and add or claim a school. It’s best to use a school email such as info@…, rather than a particular employee’s email or a personal email, so your listing stays active even if there is a staffing change.
I don’t know my password, or it’s not working
To reset your password, you will need the email you used to set up your account. Click the ‘Login’ button on the top right and then ‘Lost Password?’ below the Username and Password fields. See image below. Or, click here to reset your password.

If you don’t remember the email you used to set up your account, or if you no longer have access to that email, contact the Census at email@example.com with your name and the name of your school.
I registered, but I never received an email telling me how to create my password.
The email might have gone to your Junk or Spam folder, so check there first. If you don’t find it, you can reset your password and get a new email.
Where does the Census information come from? How accurate is it?
Census users manage their own information, so it is as accurate as they make it. Some schools have been added from databases and lists, and have not yet been claimed by users. We do our best to keep the data as accurate and complete as possible.
I found incorrect information. How can I correct it?
If the incorrect information is for a school profile that you manage, you can edit it by signing in and choosing My Schools. If it is for a school that is not yet claimed, and you represent the school, you can claim it (see image below). If the school is already claimed, you can get in touch with the school directly or contact the Census at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can anyone claim and edit a school profile?
The Census user for a school needs to be authorized by the school to claim and edit the profile. Unauthorized or spam accounts will be removed.
Can I share the Census information?
Yes! The Montessori Census information is publicly available. Please include a link to montessoricensus.org whenever you use our data.
